Film or movie making is one of the industries strongly impacted by the pandemic. So, when the 74th annual Cannes Film Festival returns this year we can sense that some sense of normalcy is returning. Of course, thank you for the availabilities of vaccines and adjustments here and there, this year fans are treated once again with glamorous sightings from the celebrities involved in the film festival.
It’s not only red carpet sightings but people come for the movies. Actors and actresses and films are competing in the film festival and have been known for years to become a pit stop for festival quality films. Some actors and actresses attended as juries, some came because some brands are using the event as a platform to promote. The fashion part is included in the last point.

High fashion brands are known to work with celebrities promoting their films during the festival and made them wear the clothes. Brand ambassadors would wear one brand exclusively, and we know all their appearances would be wearing that one brand.
Case in point, Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard, who this year visited the Cannes film festival as a jury and also a producer. She dressed flawlessly in CHANEL. Then we spotted academy award nominees who attended the film festival in the latest looks, from premiere to a casual stroll on the harbor, from VALENTINO. This year, Noomi Rapace, who mesmerized the world with “The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo” was seen all around Cannes wearing looks from FENDI as she promoted her latest film.
