At the 82nd Golden Globe Awards, CHANEL made a bold and unforgettable statement, with Keira Knightley, Margaret Qualley, Tilda Swinton, and Leonie Benesch each embracing the brand’s signature style in distinct yet equally captivating ways.
British actress and CHANEL Ambassador Keira Knightley graced the red carpet in a breathtaking custom CHANEL long dress in black lacquered jersey and silk tulle embellished with a neckline embroidered with crystals rhinestones and sequins, and a pleated silk tulle peplum with crystals embroidery and feathers, inspired by look 36 from the Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2024/25 collection. It took 300 hours and around 23.000 embroidery were required to make this dress.
The actress, who was nominated for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama award for her role in the series “Black Doves”, paired the exquisite dress with CHANEL shoes. She also wore CHANEL High Jewelry pieces, including Lion Solaire de CHANEL earrings in 18K white gold and diamonds Lion Solaire de CHANEL rings in 18K white gold and diamonds, as a finishing touch.
On the other hand, Margaret Qualley’s choice of CHANEL was a masterclass in understated glamour. The CHANEL Ambassador, who was nominated for the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture award for her role in the movie “The Substance” by Coralie Fargeat, wore an embroidered white silk dress with white silk tulle ruffles and embellished with a black bow belt embroidered with sequins and crystals.
The dress took 400 hours and required around 7.000 embroidery elements. She also wore CHANEL High Jewelry (PLUME singulière head jewels in 18k white and pink gold and diamonds; Tweed pearlé earrings in 18k white gold, diamonds and cultured pearls; and Tweed icône ruban ring in 18k white gold, diamonds and cultured pearls), and CHANEL shoes.
Also turning people’s heads was none other than Tilda Swinton. The CHANEL Ambassador, who was nominated for the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama award for her role in the movie “The Room Next Door” by Pedro Almodóvar, wore a custom jacket entirely embroidered with white striated and glossy porcelain SEQUINS with golden crystals and beads braids and a silk black velvet skirt, inspired by look 81 from the HAUTE COUTURE Spring-summer 1986 collection. The look required 600 hours to make and around 130.000 embroidery elements.
For jewellery, she opted for CHANEL High Jewelry: Soleil 19 août yellow diamond ring in 18k yellow gold, platinum, diamonds, yellow diamond. She then completed her look with CHANEL shoes.
Last but not least, Leonie Benesch, the lead actress in Tim Fehlbaum’s “September 5th”, which was nominated for Best Motion Picture – Drama award, donned a long black dress with motifs formed by an inlay of silk tulle, organza, satin and lace, look 36, from the HAUTE COUTURE Spring- summer 2022 collection.
She paired the dress with CHANEL shoes, as well as CHANEL High Jewelry (Diamant Essentiel earrings in 18K white gold and diamonds, Endless Knot ring in 18K white gold with cultured pearls and diamonds).
