FENDI has celebrated the presentation of its Women’s and Men’s Fall/Winter 2019-2020 Collections in Shanghai with an exclusive and memorable event, entitled Roma in Shanghai.
The event took place at the Powerlong Museum, the 23,000 square meter modern art museum and venue of the Fashion Show, staged on the same night on the interior walkaway’s minimalist ramps that spiral up at the center of the building.
On this occasion, FENDI brought the city of Roma in Shanghai, taking-over a dedicated area of the museum to recount and discover the Maison’s DNA and relationship with the Eternal City, celebrating its past, present and future.
Through an exciting and modern journey, guests were projected among Rome’s iconic monuments and symbols, from Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana to the stairways of Trinità dei Monti in Piazza di Spagna, all custom-built and created for one night only. In a dynamic and immersive setting – made of fantastic light installations, stunning projections and interactive spaces – they had the chance to live the Roman experience in the heart of Shanghai.
On the background of the iconic Trevi Fountain, guests could sit on a classical Vespa scooter and enjoy the real driving feeling of a Roma Vespa Tour. FENDI’s Romanity met the millennials’ world with the Digital Graffiti Wall, where guests could give life to their very own graffiti creation, expressing their creativity and becoming graffiti artists for the night. Making the experiences even more interactive, the FENDI guests could save and share real time their images at the Roma in Shanghai party!
From the very first hours, the night was animated by a cool setlist of music artists and DJ Wordy that perfectly reflected the millennial and fresh feel of the night. The party saw the attendance of FENDI’s Creative Director for Men’s, Accessories and Kids Collections Silvia Venturini Fendi and Serge Brunschwig, Chairman and CEO of the Maison, along with a young and cool crowd of international celebrities, socialites and influencers.
