Berluti is adding a new, one-of-a-kind piece to its lifestyle objects collection with a customised vintage Land Rover that reflects the Maison’s deep-rooted taste for exceptional lifestyle know-how.
Conceived as a reflection of the Maison’s passion for exceptional moments, shared experiences and adventures in style outside the beaten path, Berluti’s Land Rover is an iconic 1963 model, one of the first 4 x 4 vehicles to expand its reach from professional use to leisure travel.
Repainted in its original sand colour, this Land Rover is given a Berluti touch with a convertible canvas hood printed with an overblown Scritto motif, as well as seven renewed seats covered in Venezia leather with a timeless Cacao Intenso patina. The dashboard, with its analog chrome mileage counter, has been highlighted, and the storage space optimised, with new hidden pockets and cases inspired by the interior compartments in iconic Berluti bags. The car’s original technicalsimplicity has also been preserved, with subtle upgrades (power steering, disk brakes) allowing it to be driven on all roads with its timeless, ultra-light aluminium bodywork and its 2.3, 77 horse-power, 4 cylinder petrol engine.
Car accessories feature travel blankets, a small Nino pouch and a keyring; as well as backpacks conceived especially for hiking expeditions, and a two-place hammock, an expression of Berluti’s flair for savoir-vivre. Made of canvas and leather, it can be hung from the car on one side, and from a specially conceived metallic stand – or a tree – on the other.
Berluti’s classic yet adventurous Land Rover matches the Winter 2022 collection mood and its highlighted pieces, including workwear-inspired silhouettes, technical Venezia leather down jackets and the new, outdoors-ready Aspen and Ultima Neo boots.
