For Spring 2024, Berluti is expanding its leather goods and shoes collection with the brand new B-Volute line. Originally unveiled in the mid-1990s as part of the belt collection, the B-Volute design draws inspiration from the ornate iron staircase found in Berluti’s historic Rue Marbeuf store. Crafted with metallic hardware blending sharp lines and two curved forms symbolizing a mirrored reflection of the letter B, this design epitomises Berluti’s distinctive sartorial attitude.
The motif is now reinterpreted in order to create a brag lock and a loafer saddle strap, combined with a supple grained leather. That combination showcases the Maison’s know-how at its finest. One of the pieces that caught our eyes the most is the B-Volute Leather Loafer, the Maison’s new buckle loafer style.
The loafer showcases Berluti’s mastery in boot-making with its grained leather, treated using a unique technique where the surface is polished to unveil a contrasting colour beneath. Enhanced with a cushioned inner heel and a flexible buckle, the loafer not only offers exceptional comfort, but also stands as an essential in men’s wardrobes, thanks to its B-Volute-shaped saddle strap.
No wonder the loafer is now popular amongst men around the globe, including Australian-Japanese actor Sen Mitsuji, British lifestyle influencer Ali Gordon, London-based fashion influencer Rahi Chadda, and Korean actor Oh Jin Seok.
Sen Mitsuji was channelling a city gentleman look while wearing the Berluti B-Volute Leather Loafer in Nero.
