Apo Nattawin, Jun Ho, and Ella Richards at the Piaget High Jewellery Gala

On June 12, Apo Nattawin, Lee Jun Ho, and Ella Richards gathered for the Piaget High Jewellery Gala in Paris. The three ambassadors were among the first to discover the Essence of Extraleganza 150th anniversary High Jewellery collection. The event commemorated the celebration of 150 years of Piaget through an immersive experience that tells their story of inspiration and innovation, originality and imagination, dedication to perfection, Haute Horlogerie, and High Jewellery.

During this event, Piaget invited us to embrace the Essence of Extraleganza. Extravagance tempered with elegance is the heart of Piaget style; the essence of the Maison’s timeless modernity. This celebratory High Jewellery collection rekindles this spirit of daring dynamism, the freedom of artistic expression born in the heady, hedonist, youth-fueled 1960s and 70s. Piaget re-imagines and re-invigorates the fusion of fabulous flamboyance with sublime sophistication.

Apo Nattawin

It is safe to say that Apo Nattawin radiated a suave gentleman aura. The Thai actor appeared in a black suit, wearing dazzling Piaget’s creations.  One piece that truly caught everyone’s eye was the Dragon Brooch. The exquisite brooch is part of the Maison’s 2012 Lunar New Year capsule collection, which was dedicated to the dragon and phoenix magnetic energies.

It features a unique colour gradation set with three stunning centre stones: a spinel, a spessartite, and a yellow sapphire. More than 8 months have been needed to identify the batch of stones with perfectly matching colours and hues. A stunning volume with a mix of polished gold and coloured stones is a reminder of the powerful nature of the Dragon.

Completing Apo Nattawin’s look was the unique Piaget Aura High Jewellery watch, which also stood out with its 18k white gold finish, over 300 baguette-cut diamonds and 52 baguette-cut rubies.

Lee Jun Ho

Korean actor and singer Lee Jun Ho, on the other hand, was there to embrace the colourful spirit of the Maison.

Clad in an all-white ensemble, he wore the Piaget Polo Emeperador Skeleton watch with the Piaget Treasures earrings, worn as brooches.

Ella Richards

Lastly, Ella Richards stunned in the “Magical Aurora” High Jewellery necklace and earrings. Both pieces feature emeralds from Colombia and are a stylisation of the Aurora Borealis sight: a radiant centre motif to remind the explosion of colour illuminating the sky. The deep and intense colour of the centre of the emerald reminds the greenish tone of these dancing lights.

The fashion icon and British socialite paired them with a beautiful Piaget “Treasures” Ring. The ring has two hues of emeralds – one deeper and one lighter – highlighting the play of volume of the creation.
